The artist-run space Depot 12/59 in Kyiv is located in the Darnytsia district, on the left riverbank of Kyiv. This urbanised area was originally industrialised between the First and Second World Wars, and has undergone significant reconstruction and modernisation since its incorporation into Kyiv.
The project is dedicated to Darnytsia and includes: a video and a large painting that was placed on the gallery wall, resembling a map or photo wallpaper. This map includes various noticed features and elements of the space. For example, the residents' deep love for creating flower beds was noted, and the space is full of abandoned fountains and Soviet monuments awaiting future dismantling.
The short video is edited from different shots taken during the walks. It absurdly captures noticed things or phenomena of the neighbourhood, replaying or recreating them (for example, the creation of a flower bed, conversations about the boundaries of the neighbourhood and the mythical creatures that live there).

When you catch yourself thinking that you're forgetting, you visualise the map in your head. Loudly, in your imagination, you stomp your comfortable slippers along all the familiar paths and bridges.
