A painting series that incorporates the image of curtains or fabric pieces observed in various interiors. The folds of the fabric serve as a socio-cultural feminine symbol, alluding to the act of care.
The very gesture of drawing or closing curtains signifies protection from danger. The depicted fabric fragments obscure battlefields or devastated areas, as well as rooms abandoned under occupation—spaces that, for most, remain impossible to witness in person.
They function as a veil that separates human, tranquil existence from the boundless horror unfolding and haunting just beyond.
