Photo wallpaper is a quite popular phenomenon in the post-Soviet interior of the 2000s. These wallpapers are a simple way for everyone to zone, decorate and decorate the interior of a room. A separate sector includes products with different variations of the word "Paradise" ("Garden of Eden", "Paradise Pleasure", etc.).
The gap between the imaginary comfort zone inspired by the media and the place where we are truly happy. The sensual connection between the post-socialist fetish of ruins and the cultivated advertising images causes dissonance, and the vivid images of both do not go together. This contrast is the beauty of life. But how can one search for paradise if one's own is destroyed? The war does not leave the topic of my works, because our life is now permeated with this theme.
By painting over the wallpaper, I "Destroy" the idyllic atmosphere, adding scorched earth and brokenness. By making this project, I created a chain from this paradise, an awareness of myself and my place in this region, and continued the story of loss, pain, and destruction.
